    Plant Our Lavender Seeds

    Plant Our Lavender Seeds

    Plant our lavender seeds because...

    1. It's hardy and easy to grow. In general, lavender is a hardy plant that doesn’t require a whole lot of care once it’s established. It thrives in sunshine and dry soil, so under watering isn’t an issue for this stunning flower.
    2. For its scent. Lavender is an incredible aromatic flower with a soothing scent and fantastic blue-violet buds. Once you get a smell of a fresh lavender plant you’ll understand why it’s oil is a great ingredient in our Shrinking Violet range.
    3. To repel mosquitos, flies, fleas and moths. Planting lavender in the garden is a great choice for those who are mosquito magnets! Unlike humans, who tend to be drawn to the soothing scent of lavender - mosquitos are repelled by it. Lavender’s aroma will also keep flies, fleas and moths at bay.
    4. To attract pollinators. While winged pests won’t want to set up shop near your lavender plant, all manner of beneficial insects will - such as butterflies and bees. With our global bee population in decline - something which could have devastating and far reaching consequences for the planet - it is vital we attract and protect these valuable species. What’s more they’ll work hard to pollinate your flowers and plants ensuring a colourful and buzzing garden for years to come.
    5. For health. Lavender boasts an array of medical uses - from stress relieving to promoting sleep.
    6. Treat stress and anxiety.  When stress strikes, open your bottle of Shrinking Violet or head out to the garden and breathe in the aroma of your beautiful lavender plants. Researchers have discovered that lavender produces calming, soothing and sedative effects when it’s scent is inhaled. In fact, the scent of lavender can actually change brain wave patterns which is why it can work for a variety of neurological issues.
    7. Improve cognitive function. Not only does lavender oil boost mood, but other studies have shown that its scent helps people perform maths faster and more accurately than those who don’t inhale the aroma before taking tests.
    8. Relieve headaches. Known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to dilate blood vessels, it’s easy to understand how lavender kills the pain associated with headaches. Add a few drops of Shrinking Violet solution to a bath to relax and quell a pounding skull.
    9. Sleep like a baby. Although several plants promote a restful night’s sleep, lavender is probably the most well-known of all of these. In one study, the smell of lavender reduced crying in babies and sent them into a deeper sleep, while simultaneously reducing stress in both mother and child. This maybe because the aroma is known to slow down heart rate and lower blood pressure and stress levels. Watch our for our seasonal lavender wands!
    10. For beauty. Lavender has a long history as both a beauty product and a cleansing tonic. Romans used it to scent and purify their baths centuries ago, ancient Egyptians turned its oil into perfume for the mummification process and bundles of lavender were burned during the Great Plague of 1665 to try to ward off infectious diseases.

This Inch Loss Body-Sculpting Massage Is The Best-Kept Secret

This Inch Loss Body-Sculpting Massage Is The Best-Kept Secret

Deep-tissue body fixes and lymphatic drainage with Clinically Proven Shrinking Violet Slimming solution.

“Slightly tender but not painful” says Jules, a Shrinking Violet slimming body guru who regularly tends to the graceful bodies of ballerinas and models, and is currently pinching, pushing, and pulling at my bare flesh. I’m here today to receive Shrinking Violet lymphatic-drainage massage, an in-demand slimming technique that regularly keeps her occupied from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, where editors and celebrities alike vied for a spot on her massage table.

Tibby Olivier Institute trained, she was taught to master bodywork and facials in depth “the secrets of muscular gravity” through strong manipulation that loosens fascia, increases blood flow, and wakes up muscles so that she can “move them back to where they should be.” A sculpted physique is only one of her treatment’s selling points, though; it also can calm the nervous system, reduce chronic pain, and speed the elimination of metabolic waste, slim, firm, tone, shrinking inches as it flows.

“Did you drink water today?” she asks me, as she presses her elbows and forearms onto my thighs,  A slight tenderness can be felt (an indication that the tissue is not healthy, she says). Although I regularly refill the Shrinking Tea that sits on my desk, she’s quick to tell me, “That’s not enough.” Dehydration can lead to muscle cramping, indigestion, and toxin buildup: “You must drink hot water when you wake up, followed by lots of Shrinking Tea a.m  before 2:00 p.m., then swop to Shrinking Tea p.m from 3- 5:00 p.m., and, after that, just take sips.” (She also informs me that I should take SlimBathe bath oil, hot baths regularly as hot baths can burn as many calories as a workout then apply the SlimBathe body oil all over and hop in bed.

The lavender essential oil in all the Shrinking Violet slimming solutions reduces restlessness and has a calming effect on the body. This calming result can have a huge impact on your weight loss journey as you switch your comfort methods from foods to something more aromatic. This can also lead to a better night's sleep and reduce stress. I totally need this!

At the end of our 45-minute session, which she finished with a application of Shrinking Violet Cellulite Oil, I not only notice a contoured line in my leg that no yoga, running, or spin class has ever once revealed, but also that my skin is glowing and I feel lighter than when I first walked in. In other words, here you’ll find a treatment that doesn’t need to be buoyed by a populated geotag. Rather, the results speak for themselves. And how refreshing is that?

Shrinking Violet body treatments and wraps are found in Spas worldwide, including the world famous Sha Wellness Clinic in Spain.

Read on to learn how to brew it...

    • 1 tea bag of Shrinking Tea
    • 8oz. water

Boil your water and pour over the tea. Infuse for 5-15 minutes covered.

    How to Drink Tea

Now we come to the important bit; how do you drink tea?

‘The exciting thing about tea is there are so many ways to enjoy it. Hot, cold brewed, or infused in a tea cocktail. Not only is tea a healthy beverage, but its interesting flavour profile means that it can be enjoyed in so many ways.’

    Water Temperature

‘The important thing is to know a little about the type of tea you are preparing to serve, and to know the best way for your guest to experience it. For example, if you were serving hot tea, the general rule is to know that only black and herbal teas can withstand boiling water. Any other teas such as green, oolong and white teas need a cooler water so the leaves do not burn, which can produce a bitter flavour. Green or white tea are typically drunk without milk or sugar, as they have a much more delicate aroma and flavour.’

Iced tea is best brewed overnight in the fridge in cold water to allow for a delicate, naturally sweet tea.

    Tea: The Social Rules

Tea should be taken when and wherever you like, and in whatever fashion best suits you.

‘There are better and worse ways to make tea and more formal and informal ways to enjoy it. But rules are there to be broken and tea is made to be enjoyed.’

‘The only thing I am slightly militant about is the cup or the mug I use. You wouldn’t drink fine wine from a pint glass, and I think the same applies to fine tea.’

I prefer porcelain or glass tea cups.

    How to Drink It
Sit up straight and spread out the napkin on your lap. Hold the cup by the handle and bring it up to your mouth - avoid leaning forward to drink. Never cradle the cup in your hands and avoid raising your little finger. Take small sips and don't slurp, or blow on hot tea to cool it. The cup is put down on the saucer in between sips.

     Is it vegan and vegetarian?

It is caffeine free, vegan and vegetarian safe, dairy free, gluten free and sugar free. It's a great alternative to caffeine with absolutely no jitters, so aids in cleansing fat away and is safe and rapid. This Shrinking Tea contains no fats or carbohydrates.
